Talking question for guys with lifted duallys

hey guys i've searched and searched and think i'm about ready to lift my 99 3500 dually ... i have had two lifted dodge diesels (99 2500 with fabtech and 37ssrs) (and 99 2500 sport with 10"whiplash and 39.5 iroks) ...

i'd like to run the following on my truck please say if you see a problem or have better suggestions
truck is a daily highway driver too

37x12.50r17 (prob ssrs or somethin in that size)
17"kmc rockstar black dually wheels (17" 3rd gen steel inner )
7" skyjacker coils
DC long arm kit
Thuren track bar kit for 5" plus
Extreme Drop pitman arm

3"AAL and 2" block in rear"???????

i am not sure on what shocks to run or how or what to use to lift the rear enough

please chime in guys and tell me if i need anything else or what should i use to lift the rear approx 5"?

I Would go with Bilstein shocks I love mine, As for the rims I would go with some Rickson 19.5's as they have much less sidewall flex. Also you need to install dual steering stabalizers. I ended up taking my rear springs to a spring shop and having two more leaves installed as well as using the blocks that came in my kit.

i was thinking the bilsteins as well ... not going to go with 19.5's .. for many reasons .. one the tires are silly priced for what they are ... i dont tow anything heavy .. and i dont like the designs of the wheels in 19.5 i actually already had 22.5 big rig kit on my truck .. liked it but.. just want something different and noone has a lifted dually in my town .. pretty stuck on those rockstars since they are black ...

may have to do that on the rear springs though that could work ... anyone else have any suggestions thanks for the reply blacksmoker!!

I want 35's for my dually, but I don't want a lift, just the 2" level kit for the front. I'm just still unsure if 35x12.5's will fit with even a 2" spacer between the duals. Any more than that for a spacer and the tires are gonna stick so far out.

Dosnt your truck have the blocks stock in the rear ive seen guys stack lift blocks with stock blocks Not real safe I did the add a leaf to my dually. But i only have a 5-6" susp i think if you call skyjacker or one of the larger lift co they will custom make you a leaf pack to eliminate the blocks all together.

why don't u just go with the super singles in the back. they call for a 22" or 22.5"wheel, I've been looking into it but i pull loads and really dont want to put a lift on my truck,,, the super singles are rather tall not quite sure how tall u can get them but i do know most are 14"wide

I have a 1999 Sport dually with custom Tuff-Country/skyjacker susp lift, it's about 5-6" lift and a 3" body lift.

With 37x12.5- 17 Pro Comp X-treme All-Terrains and I just love it!

I have pics in my gallery.

How did you lift your body? Everyone that I have talked to said that for our years you can not do a body lift.

It's not a problem.

Follow these instructions:
http://www.pavementsucks.com/tech/bodylift.php

Except don't change the location of the fan shroud. I cut everything under the center of the fan shroud of, because the Cummins steel fan does not move when you lift the body. This would be the perfect timing to get that hevay metal fan off and replace it with electric one.

I also had to shorten my drivers side cold boost pipe by 2 1/4 ".

Otherwise, just follow the instruction and watch carefully that you don't bind anything and the wires are long enough, my rear brakelight wires weren't.

Good luck!
