Question about front brakes

Question about front brakes
A buddy of mine has a 01 2500, we went to change the front brake pads and the front left was wore completely down. But the front right has 3\4 of the pad left on the brake what gives. It doesn't pull hard to the left or anything. Any help would be appreciated.....

Most likely the caliper pins or calipers are sticking. Did he buy it new and know its history? If he bought it used you never know what kind of repairs were made.
