Angry Question about Broken Apply Lever?

I lost second gear, so I dropped my pan and found by apply lever pieces in the bottom of my pan. Can I install a new one without pulling the trans?

Thanks for the link/help, but I don't know if I am ready to cut into the case. It looks like I just need to remove driveshaft, trans linkage, valve body, converter and slide the trans back a few inches. I guess I have my next saturday planned, thanks guys.

I have a stock 3.8 lever in mine. What lever do you recommend for stronger replacement? And what length, I don't want to have timing issues.

my problem when deeper than just the apply lever,,, changed the valve body , apply lever ,front drum seals, pistion for the apply lever ,,, and then after that a total over haul of the tranny to include the tq converter.. ordered my apply lever from hts,,, and got the total overhaul done by hts so all that cost me another 3000.00 on top of 6800.00

So after your little short cut you still had problems with your trans and had to have overhauled? I hope I do not have the same situation.
