Quadzilla XZT - QUestions?

Quadzilla XZT - QUestions?

Just Ordered the Quadzilla XZT. Did it for the milage increase (hopefully), could care less if I get more power or not (OK - I'll gladly accept more power as long as milage or reliability don't suffer ). I did the the Tone ring mod some time ago. Will I have to back off the tone ring timing as the XZT advances the timing anyway? Also, I don't have gauges - will it be safe to run the XZT w/o gauges? Finally, are there any long term effect (i.e. premature failure/wear) of the XZT? From what I understand, it slightly increases the timing, duration, and pressure. I'm mostly concerned about the pressure increase. Is it going to cause any problems prematurely?

1. You're ok with the tone ring mod and xzt together
2. You really shouldn't run any power adders without gauges. With that said, on an otherwise stock truck you should be fine when empty. I wouldn't tow with it hooked up without having an egt gauge to monitor temps.
3. It won't cause any problems with your truck. Again, on an otherwise stock truck, the pressure will not exceed safe limits.

It's a great little box. I had one for about 6 months.

I did not see any increase worth mentioning when I installed the XZT. I opened the exhaust to 4inch and installed an AIRRAID Filter...Maybeeeee 1or 2 mpg diff. I actually pulled the chip last week and Ran the numbers by hand and the MPG increased without the chip... The only time I run the chip now is when Im hauling the 5th wheel.

still would run at least a pyro !!even with the xzt you can see temp spikes when you tromp on it ... and the xzt has no built in safety measures ..
nice box though and like has been said time and time again the best customer support in the biz ...

It would especially be worth looking into with an '03 like mine was. Probably could have posted it performance section, but was being retarded when I went to post a new thread and didn't look what room I was in. Doh!
