Quadzilla Commander question

Can I use the commander as the gauge setup with the BDTD? I think I like it better than the outlook monitor because of the bigger screen. My dad has the outlook and the screen is very small. Does anyone have the commander? How do you like it?

Yep, I did it for a while. The Commander reads directly from sensors so programmers have no effect on its operation. I love my Commander.

I'm not much on installing that kind of thing. How hard is it to do so? How do I find out how much I can get the commander with the pillar from the DTR shop?

Install is really easy. I recommend you give it a try. It's mostly plugging in harnesses and routing wires in a tidy fashion. Not much to it.

To get the best price give Lary a call. You won't find a better deal elsewhere.

Ok , now if I get this thing who is gonna help me install the all monitor and drill the exhaust manifold because I have no clue as to doing that kind of thing. Anyone in or around Oklahoma that would be willing to give me a hand? Or am I making something tougher than it really is?

Yeah, I have the Commander and I like it a lot. There is data logging software that you can keep your highest temps reached, stuff like that (haven't used it yet) after you install the Commander you mostly just hook up stuff to it in the cab w/o having to go under hood again.
Nothing is hard, it's just the first time it's hard to figure what they want. I don't like the instructions, they need a tech writer. But that's a common complaint of mine. Quadzilla has real good customer support (and I never needed it, just cussed at the instructions) and also comes on the forums a lot. The Commander is much cheaper than a full set of gauges, and can do a lot more. They sell different wiring harnesses so when you get a 'box', you get the harness for that box, and I guess everything just plugs in.
You can check out the Commander here:http://quadzillapower.com/products/commander.html
With the A pillar kit, it doesn't take up much room and looks stock. Lotta people like their analog gauges, though, and if you like the look of all the gauges, then some people figure that they are more reliable, I dunno. You won't get a analog gauge (unless there are some I don't know about) to start defueling when you get to a temp high that you set and that you don't want your engine to exceed.
