Quadzilla Boost Fooler?

Quadzilla Boost Fooler?
Would I benefit any with one on a completly stock 06? Would there be any concerns by using one on a stock truck? Also later this year I am going to get a Smarty Jr. Can I use both?
Sorry for my ignorance but I am just getting around to a little mild moding.
Thanks,
Grizz

I never used one on a stock truck, but I would think you might add a little more boost and the egt's would be a little lower. I have smarty sr with the boost fooler and it added a little more boost for me. I didn't see any difference in the egt's when I added the boost fooler, but it did add about 6 pounds of boost. I know smarty does the boost fooling also, but I added it for a little more boost and I will need it when I switch turbos anyway.

I put my boost fooler on before I got my Diablosport. It made the truck feel really sluggish. Like it would not let the truck build boost until the the rpms were at about 1800. When I used it with the programmer it was fine, not sure what the problem was. I like it with the programmer because without it I would peg 32 easy and the wastegate would open. I can hit 38-40 pretty easy with the fooler on.

Thanks for the replies. I thought it might add a little more pep before I bought a Jr. I would not have imagined it would make it more sluggish??? But I don't know too much about turbos. I just saw them on sale somewhere for about 70 bucks and thought it might help a little before I started dropping more cash for the programmer.

No need of fooler with a Smarty Jr. Save your $ and just get a JR. Tried one on my '03 and it made no difference. Maybe with programming set to stock it might help.

Don't think you need a fooler with the smarty. I could be wrong but I think it does it already. If not, don't spend $70 on a fooler. I got mine from us diesel parts for $34 shipped.

Smarty isn't fooling boost on my truck or turning off the wastegate all the way. Boost will spike up, then come down to 30 on level 9. I put some vise grips on the wategate line, and popped a overboost code at 37 psi. This happens on some trucks, and mine is one of them.

My only "mod" is a Quadzilla boost fooler. I don't have a boost gauge, but it does seem to help a little. Tires spin a little more on accelleration, seems like a little help with picking up speed above 70 mph when the transmission won't kick down.
