Quadzilla Boost Fooler + overnight = P2509

Installed the Boost Fooler on Monday evening. Tuesday afternoon after my second startup I get the P2509. (ECM intermittent signal)

Checked the connections and they seem tight. Connectors are fully engaged. Battery terminals look fine.

Is it a coincidence? Or has anyone else received a P2509 for the Quad boost fooler?

Did you use Dialectric grease on all the connections?

Sounds like a connection not being as tight as you may think it is.

Dielectric grease was needed on the MAP sensor connections?

Do I need this

Do I need one of these if I'm going to just run the SMARTY?

It may not be your problem, but I have seen hundreds of issues solved with a little dab of that stuff

Well, it's a good idea and can't hurt to try a little. I'll reset my ECU at the same time and see if it pops up again.

I've put together plenty of electrical connectors in my time; this is defintely not a loose one. I was impressed with the quality of the product and it went on easy with a secure connection.

Depends on which Smarty tune you download. I would suggest it.

P2509 - Powerdown Data Loss Error

Possible Causes:

Poor Connections at the batteries
Low Battery Voltage
Open Fused B+ to ECM
Open Ground Circuit
Battery + shorted to other circuits
Return circuit shorted
Battery + Shorted to ground
Intermitten condition

Sounds like maybe something battery related? I cannot imagine any possible way that a boost fooler could cause this?

I thought maybe the data loss could be a weak or intermittent MAP signal stemming from me not putting the connectors on tight enough.

But the connectors are on pretty tight! I'll re-seat my battery cables, resetting the ECM in the process and see if it comes up again.

Well, it looks like it really was a coincidence. When I started up my truck to move it to the driveway to reset the ECU, the CEL cleared itself and never came back.

Thanks for all the feedback

So, have you noticed a difference in the truck with the fooler on?

Well, I really hate to judge things by butt-dyno but yes it does feel like there's more giddyup at WOT. At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Next mod: muffler delete and that's it.

I'm thinking about DeBombing mine right now. This truck is just too touchy when it comes to mods. My muffler delete will stay there though. I love the way it sounds.....
