Quad's rail prssure gauge installed.

I received it and had it on for a test run in less than 20 minutes. With the diablo on performance and juice on stock I found rail pressure at 5000psi at idle and 23500psi at WOT. Diablo on performance, Hot juice on any setting other than 5 idle 5000psi WOT 26500psi. Diablo performance, hot juice level 5 idle 5000 WOT 21000-23000psi. The rail can't fully keep up with the hot juice and diablo stacked but it does good enough. The juice adds 2000-3000 psi while cruising. Turning it on does this immediately. I'm not sure if the juice is topping out the rail pressure gauge or not because it doen't reach a top value and sit there it keeps bouncing around. I never saw over 26500 psi. Just thought I'd share for all you 03-04 juice owners. Now I need to get the extreme rkl program loaded up and see what it does. Thanks to the DTR store they got it to me in only 3 business days and thanks to Quad for building a gauge that is reasonably priced.

The gauge will actually read to 28,600 but, your sensor may not?

Also you can check your max reading before you turn it off as it will show spikes. The number displayed on the gauge itself is filtered somewhat.

I had it on the interstate and I got it to read over 27000 a couple of times with the juice on 4. I didn't expect it to read over 28000, but that is good to know. Thanks again Quad.

I did some more testing today. The custom 200 hp tune from diablo added maybe a very slight amount since I saw 24000 once. Then I loaded the extreme stacker tune and added some Hot juice to see what it would do.
It is the same as stacking with the performance tune. Juice on stock makes stock pressures and the juice being on pushes it up to 27000. I held at least 25000 with level 4 of the hot juice so my Cp3 is keeping up pretty well. level 5 of the juice didn't feel very strong stacked and it made lots of smoke, however rail pressure stayed over 20000. I saw peak boost of 48lbs with level 5 stacked. The strongest stack was level 4, it made around 45 lbs of boost and kept egts reasonable. I could go from a stop up to 100 MPH before the juice started defueling at 1350. Peak pressure I have seen so far is 27050 psi.
I'm really starting to wonder if my clutch is already upgraded. This stack is very strong and as long as I'm not speed shifting constantly it holds very well. Oh well I still need to get my FE in so I can see what it will do.

Hey, just for giggles (if you don't mind). Un hook the 3 injectors connections from the Juice and drive the truck. You will need to plug the stock ones back in though!!!

I am curious how much they really "stretch" the injectors with pressure like that.

Unplug them and then drive it and adjust the power levels and tell us how it works.

I tried bypassing the injector plugs and I got the same pressure results. 23500 psi stock approaching 27000 psi with any setting on the juice. The throttle was very sensitive and hard to drive with these unplugged. I think that I proved that the edge does not ease off of the pressure up top because it stays the same all the way up. I'm not sure I like this much pressure. I have been running it this way for 25000 miles though. Quad would you mind telling me what pressures your race box runs?
Thanks

Oh a Race box will typically peak in the 26,500 range.

Although the throttle seemed touchy did you loose much overall horsepower?

Yeah truck was not as strong with these unplugged. With them plugged in the truck spooled the turbo harder, made more smoke and pulled harder once spooled. I got exactly the same results stacking the juice with my diablo on extreme stacker tune. It did let me try my diablo out with a pressure box though.

I was just curious how much they are really stretching. It sounds like the stretch down low and stop and let the pressure do the rest.

Typically when you stretch you lower the rail pressure the longer the injector stays open.

Very interesting!

I was really expecting less pressure with my higher settings, but my CP3 just keeps the pressure up. I do know that I am happy with how this truck will get up and move. I guess 27000 psi isn't too terrible then. When I punch it the rail pressure shoots up to around 20000 psi then takes a slight dip then goes up to peak pressure. I was surprised how fast the pressure actually shoots up. Within one second it is at peak pressure. Also I know for sure now that my relief valve is holding fine. FYI cruising pressures are 12000-15000 stock and 15000-17000 with the juice.

well i just got mine installed. i went to do the fp sender and have no idea where to put the banjo bolt since the vaccum pump is in the way. i talked with chris at relentless and he told me to use the banjo on the bottom of the fuel filter housing. do you have any problems with that quad?

I know several other people are successfully doing it that way for the same reason.

Hey guy's, I been eyeing the Quad fp gauge pretty hard, I have a GPD 2 micron filter set up, is there a way to hook the fuel pressure gauge up between the CP3 and the 2 micron filter. I have an inline gauge tap that came with the GPD ff kit. It would be nice too see the fp readings at the CP3.

Thanx, Tim
