I just finished installing the xzt module and I did the led check as the directions say but the first three blinks are green not green yellow yellow like the manual says but maybee im colour blind do you other guys with the xzt have any trouble with seeing the diffrent led colours?

Sounds like it is the wrong module? Isn't 3 greens a standard box for an 03-04? Might want to contact Quad himself or wait for his reply as I could easily be wrong as well....

There should be a page in the install instructions showing what the different coloured LED's are for I think...

Yes, sounds like the wrong box. I would not run it till I spoke to someone at Quad ad it will more than likely throw a code or 2. Friend had an 04.5 got box for an 04 quite a difference so he had to wait for quad to send out the correct one and ship the one he had back, Better safe than sorry though. Call monday am and they will gladly assist you to teh corcet solution.

There is a bar code on the XZT box. My code says DXZT2 for the 2004.5. Please post your serial number. My serial number is 36265. I am having trouble with my XZT talking to my " NEW Commander" verison 1.4.3. When hooked up to the Commander after the light sequence the XZT goes blank. Disconnected from the Commander it reads Green, (orangist yellow),(orangist yellow),green and then red stays on.

The bar code probably will mean nothing to anyone other than Quadzilla. The boxes are programed prior to shipping for the spoecific aplication. Yous is programed per your user manual for an 03-04 standard. It is in the manual. Either you ordered for an 04 without saying 04.5 or Quad mistakenly flashed or shipped for an 03-04. It is the WRONG ZXT BOX. DO NOT START OR RUN THE TRUCK WITH THIS BOX. AT THE LEAST INSTALL THE JUMPER PLUG AND RETURN THE BOX TO QUAD AFTER CALLING THEM TOMORROW AM. They will take care of it but if you read your manual that came with the module it will state what you should see and if it isn't right there is a problem and you should not run it. Plain & Simple. It says should have green, yellow, yellow, you have green,green.green , it's not what you should have therefore somethign is wrong. Follow the above.

I did not start the truck and installed the jumper the box does say zxt2 on it but im not taking any chances! ill leave the harness in and insatall my recon while I get this straightened out .

Think that is in your best interest. When my neighbor got his ZXT box from Quad I helped him order it. We specifically said 04.5 but his was the same as yours. 3 green blinks. We called (weekday) and they said for the earlier 04 truck to send it back and they would exchange for the correct one. No problem and has been fine ever since. M<y guess is that like everywhere else you get someone in a hurry and they don't look at the order form close enough and mistakes are made. Quad seems to be very good at rectifying any problemms, even ones he dosen't cause.

Good luck and enjoy after you get all installed. By the way you will like the Recon, got mine last week and only took 1 hour to install and I was panicked to drill the manifold but did it anyways, being extremely careful.

Very good info on here. It sounds like it is the wrong box. We can fix it easy enough. Like they already mentioned call our tech support in the morning.

Now, for my side (and you can do this in a pm if you choose) I would like to know who you ordered it from so I can check and see if we are dropping the ball or if it was just mistakenly ordered?

UGLYTRUCKS in bashaw alberta canada is were I ordered it from last summer. I looked for his website yesterday and its gone maybee he is out of business ? I was waiting to be off warrenty before I installed the box now that im off bombs away !

I don't think he's out of business but, either way just call our tech support 888-842-6572 and tell them what happened and they will fix you up!
