Angry Quad Rail Pressure Guage Problems.

So, I just got the Quadzilla rail pressure guage and I'm having some issues. First of all, it's not giving any number readings on the guage. It's getting power to the unit itself but no numbers. Now, I don't profess to be any kind of mechanic but I thought that I hooked it up all right. Maybe somebody could send me pictures of where I'm supposed to hook the three prong connection.
Second, I'm now getting code P0193 and check engine light on. I unhooked the guage and put everything back to normal. Could someone please shed some light for me.
Thanks.

Sounds like a bad connection at the rail sensor. Thats what the code is at least- rail pressure sensor volts too high. Doesn't that have the ability to read other things as well? Does it read any of the other things?

when I removed my rail sensor it looks blue on the bottom like it was really hot. ive had a series of issues here lately from installing an mp8 that ran bad, it threw 4 codes alone. now here is my thoughts. the gauge has constant power going to it, maybe it is cooking these rail senors or at least putting too much voltage to these sensors?

Not really a possibility I don't think. The voltage going to the sensors is 5 volts low amperage. They are circuit protected inside the computer with small circuit breakers so would be really tough to get enough heat out of that circuit. The fuel is at extremely high pressure though and with that comes heat. Most of the troubles come from poor connections.

my truck isn't running bad. I just went and had the codes cleared at Autozone and now the P0193 is gone but I have a P0653 (I think, can't remember). I'm thinking that this guage may the problem. After I cleared codes and put everything back to stock , NO PROBLEMS, hook the guage back up and another code.

Sorry to hear about your wreck.
I have quite a few mods myself: Injectors, turbo, ATS intake, AFE cold air intake, Torque Dog, GDP fuel system, ceramic clutch and a few more things.
I went and cleared my codes again. I was really hoping that this guage would work for me. If anyone has any ideas as to what might be causing the rail guage not to work I would be much obliged.

its hard to own one of these trucks and not own a downloader. they do come in handy to clear codes. ive had a couple power pups and smarty and they really help out when they have issues. if you have installed all that im sure you done it right. I was geared up when I got the gauge I liked it alot. it saved me some $ from buying an analog and another mount of some kind. I would rather gauge be the issue on mine other than the tst because without it my turbo will be a turd

the RP guage hooks to the center wire. I have the commander and have no problems with the rail. I can't get my fuel pressure to read right though. Haven't had time to fool with it any more

If you are getting a 0193 code then you basically have to have one of the Rail Sensor plugs turned 180 degrees backwards.

There is no chance of us hurting the sensor as we are not applyin any voltage to them at all. We are simply using their 5v supplied power source and then reading the signal wire. There is no way to hurt the sensor.

I won't say that I didn't have a plug backwards but after I cleared codes and tried again, I'm still getting nothing on the guage. I really want this thing to work so keep the ideas coming.
thanks.

O.K.. I'm not too proud to admit ingorance. I was just out looking at my truck and noticed that there are actually two three prong connectors. One that's on top of the rail that I assumed was the one I needed to use and then there is another one below that wich is does not appear to have a sensor but is the same type of plug. Sorry, it's dark and hard to see.
