Cool Quad Race box

I put on my quad race box per instuctions and it seems to have a hard start. about 5 secs then when it did hit, rpm went about 900 to 1k then fell down to normal 700rpm then quit, shut off i was like what! checked all the connections and tryed it again turned key and waited till all lights go off besides engien light like i always do hard start again cranked about 5 to 7 sec started and kept running no lights so i took it for a spin road was damp dry spots and a few wets spots it was starting to dry up. ran till operating temp, had it at the 100hp lvl. stomped it around 35mph power was so smooth when i let off around 65 to 70 mph the back end straighted back up i didnt really know it was wanting to come around. so i stop at the meyer store and pick up some snuff and again hard start around 5 to 7 sec its noticeable from stock i like the power just dont like the way it starts any thing to worry about. i got a 2007 quad cab 5.9 48 re with just a 41 inch donaldson muffler rest is bone stock trying to decide if the the AEM workhorse is worth 100 bucks more then the S@B. Thanks

just for grins, plug in the bypass plug and see if it is in your mind or not, if it still takes 5 to 7 seconds of cranking, I would go the next step and un hook all the connections at the motor and plug them back stock and check again, if it is a l big difference I am stumped, my truck fires right up with the race box in the 100 hp setting. you could also try setting it to the stock switch position, which is suppposed to be the same as pluggin in the bypass plug. DON"T loose the bypass plug, if you ever need to send in for a bit of service on the module, you won't have to unplug everything to drive around while the module is out of your truck for the typical 5 day turnaround,

Did you check the LED sequence on initial power-up to make sure you got the correct box?
