Hey Qzilla, I know im very impatient, but do you guys have an ETA yet for the public for your tow modules?????? Since All I do is tote 20k pounds, would you reccomend something else??? I dont care for racing, just better mpgs and a little low end grunt with reliablity!! Im ordering the commander with the purchase of module!!! I do NO MOUNTAINS!!!!! [nonono][nonono]

How fast do you want to go?? MY 5.9 with edge/att tow mode towing over 22000gcw can pull our fiver at 80 mph with not much effort,we pull at 65- 70 on cruise,i was shocked with the pulling power, why risk your warranty??? I was talking to a leasing company re GM / DODGE diesels their view was if you have few problems in the first 12000 k you have a good one, otherwise it never ends, 40 k going strong, LOVE IT!!!!

Well there are a couple out there. Edge has one and I think TS has one?? I also think Bullydog has one.

Right this second I would have to lean towards the Edge module if you want duration.

I am mostly concerned with the DPF and active regeneration.

Here is what happens. When the truck starts to get too dirty it will clean itself. When it goes into active regeneration it rally burns the fuel. This kills mileage.

So far no one has come up with anything that you can tow with that makes hardly any power and will not cause excessive regeneration. I think Edge says L2 or lower when hauling and you have to turn the low end responsiveness way down in order to avoid this.

I mean, I am sure it works but, if you go through the manual it basically says we sold you a lot of stuff you cannot use or your mileage will stink or it will clog your DPF.

I think for a guy that just drives and not towing and he does a lot of highway stuff it would be fine.

Edge seems to be the only one that has ANY consideration fo the DPF stuff.

I would be scared to death of programmers ont he 6.7L. No one is every 100% totally honest or open about what they do with them. They will have a much harder time detecting regeneration cycles and cannot adjust for them on the fly.

The TS box might have some merit to it but, I hate the fact that you have to mechanically modify the rail in order to make it work ok. If you don't it will pop the relief valve all the time. These trucks run a lot more pressure than a 600 motor. I have seen 27K on a stock truck. The additional pressure does not bother me as these injectors are made to take over 30K from what we understand. It is the fact that you have to mechanically alter the truck to get a 50 or 60hp gain.

Pressure should be clean as long as they have a sophisticated mapping system. You can make pressure clean or really dirty depending on how you do it. I have no idea what they do and I have not seen one personally. It seems that they do not take much into account for the DPF but, maybe at the lower power levels they do not need to??

I am not in a rush. We get a good amount of calls for stuff and we appreciate it but, we want to get it right! We know these newer trucks are failry complex and we want to do everything we can to make them the best we can the first time we release them. I never have gotten caught up in the "whos first" stuff. I believe in the being the first to get it right!

If you need something right now I would just rally study what you are getting. I am sure the product out work and probably work fine but, there is no way anyone has done any long term testing because, the trucks did not hit the ground until January! Then they had to make stuff and then test it somewhat so the time frame has been short!

I will keep you up to date when we start thinking about letting something out!
Don't get me wrong, we have stuff but, it is not ready or where we expect it to be yet.

Before you get too happy remember there is no replacement for displacement!

Give it some time, everyone will be impressed. Big motor, big turbo, independant injector control. Lots of good stuff to work with.

Again, thats why im waitin on you guys. I understand it throws it into regen more often. Thats why i want something perfect like what you guys will make with that tow module. Hopefully the tow module will work good with NO DPF!!!! It will be nice when there is NO REGEN[coffee][coffee]
