Question Pyro Fitting Material: Brass or Steel

I bought a used 2" Autometer Phantom pyro, but it didn't have the threaded fitting for the probe. What material is this fitting to be made of, Brass or Steel? My local auto parts just have brass fittings. Should anti-seize be used?

I want to try and mount the pyro in the dash, next to where the 4x4 indicator would've been. (I have 2wd.)

Thanks,
Harley

Should be steel, use high temp (usually copper colored) anti-seize.

Check with AutoMeter, they can get the fitting to you.
