I need to get a bundle of 8, 18 gauge wires from a switch bank near my ashtray to the engine compartment, I want these wires to have the 4 deutsch type connectors on them when i route them. Any helpful ideas on where to route them. thanks

There is a rubber grommet on the firewall Either just above or just below the where the steering column is and just to the right of it that is held on by two tabs. You can cut an "x" in that grommet to feed the wires through or cut a small circular hole. It's pretty thick rubber.

There is also another grommet that you can use that is located on the drivers side toward the a-pillar that is under/behind/slightly below the the main wiring harness below the cowl. I used that to install all my wiring for guages. It is up above the emergency brake. A little hard to get to from the inside, but is really out of the way of the pedals and moving stuff.

^ That's where I ran mine, conceals the wires pretty well. Then, up under the dash there is plenty of wires to zip tie to, you'll never know any wires were ever added unless ya really look for em

I have run more wires then I can keep track of through that grommet. I do have some engine noise in the cab and wonder if that is where some of that comes from.

Check the floor seals on your gear levers, under the cupholder console. Mine was bent a little (about 1/8 inch) and letting in an incredible amount of noise. As for running wires through the firewall I always punch the hole then run just the wires without plugs. The reason for punching is you can make a small hole from inside without going too far through then locate it under the hood to check for clearances.
