You will probably get quite a vast range of opinions. Do a search and a lot of information will appear. Just be careful with PRESSURE boxes as the injectors are touchy as is. Also, be careful of programmers that stress the transmission, as that can be a weak point.
As far as mileage, I think anything over 1,000 miles is OK. If the factory allows you to tow or haul thousands of pounds after 1,000 miles. You should be OK.

I was thinking about a programmer, but I think I'll go with a module instead. They seem to be the most trouble free, and I don't like the idea of changing the factory program on my truck (which is what a programmer does).

and what do you think a module does?????, cheats the factory programming.

Enlighten me on this please. If your programmer is stolen (and your truck was set on one of the performance settings) how do you go back to stock?
If the module is stolen, your truck goes back to stock, right?
That’s why I decide to go to a module instead.

Diablosport Predator. Leave on performance setting. Save the Xtreme for DRY day. Looked into the BullyDog and the Diablosport is less $ for the same results with CUSTOM tunes optional!

The data view feature on the diablosport is an advantage. The Bullydog triple dog doesn't do that but it does give you control over a whole bunch of accessory stuff on your 06 such as high idle enable, accessory on after key off timing, fog light operation with high beam, horn chirps on or off for different functions etc. Take a look at whats out there. Plus the Smarty is now available for 06 I think. Read, read and read some more.
