Angry purchased comp map not same

I purchased comp for my 01 HO and did not bother to ask what map plug it had.My truck has smaller plug with 3 round pins and the comp has 3 flat spades. What can I do? I already called EDGE but did not get any help. Mark it up to inexperiance.

did you purchase it new?if so just return it.if not you can try a wrecker and get the plug you need and slice either the truck or the comp.they may be diferent voltages but edge should be able to anwser that for you.or try posting in the clasifieds here and maybe someone will trade.there was a guy who had a comp for an 01 and wanted to trade it for an 99 style like yours.

I am still confused on which plugs you are mentioning.
Something doesnt sound right here.

the map sensor on the truck has 3 round terminals in a row not in a triangle instead of 3 flat terminals in a row like on the box. Ill try to borrow a camera a get a picture up.

i would think it would be ok to hook her up to only the data port, the map sensor only works a s a boost fooler in ez mode.with the wire tapped i think the map sensor plug senses boost to allow diferent fueling depending on your settings on it..try it in ez mode and see if you get anymore power and no codes.

The MAP connector pcbing has on his 2001 truck is black, about 1/2" wide with 3 round prongs in a straight row. The comp has white/grey, 1" wide connectors that have flat, 3 spade-type prongs in a row.

I believe the Edge documentation shows the type of connector in the first picture:
http://www.edgeproducts.com/pdf/inst...ons_011305.pdf

OnEdit: Here's the connectors on the COMP (shown from the '02 comp in the classifieds right now):

So you have a 2002 (locking map sensor) and need a 2001 harness.

Do not hook it up to just the data port, you have to hook up the map also. it will throw codes and you won't gain anything by running it this way. EDGE should be able to supply the adapter you need, you might have to pay for it but maybe not.

for what ever reason edge wont sell me one. I bought it used and they do not want to deal with me. I was told to try tst and they might be able to sell me one. I also have a cummins tech looking up the pin ID's for me to see if I could maybe make my own harness.THANKS for all of your help and info. This site is awesome!!

I bought the adapters from Bob Wagner. It adapted the smaller plug to the bigger locking one and they weren't 80 bucks either.
