i know ur thinking, well duh the lift pump is bad, but it worked fine right before i took my IP off to put on a buddies truck....and now when i push the lever to prime the system im not getting any fuel out of the bleed screw....ive hit it with some ether while everything was tight thinking the lift pump was dry or something and the best ive got is a couple bubbles out of the bleed screw when i tried priming after that.....am i doing this right? ive read some write ups and think i'm following them correctly,so is there a chance my lift pump could just go bad like that? any secrets to help prime this thing up?

rotate the engine 1 rotation and try again. you might be at the point where the cam lobe wont let you prime the lift pump.

sometimes the cam lobe for the lift pump will be at the highest point when the engine stops and that will not let the manual lever do anything. It will feel semi normal but it wont pump when you move the manual lever. Try just bumping the key and then pumping the manual lever again.

well it's official......my pump is dead, so i got the piston lift pump swap on order and will be installing it soon......hopefully lol

Well lift pump is installed and let me just say...wow. the installation was so simple and it fixed so many problems like choppy idle and better fuel in the top end, everyone should do this if u got the few extra bux lying around.....next will probably be Holley black and my HX35....can't wait
