Pump Timing

I was wondering if anyone knows the thred pitch of the nut on the pump. If they do I was wondering if anyone would think a big nylock and no washer would be an idea for this. I have also seen many torque settings you all have used I wondered if their is some sort of run-of-the-mill setting to use. Chime in and give me some thoughts thanks.

Saskatoon Diesel put this nut on when I had my timing set. There's no lock washer. I think I paid about $12 for it. They didn't even kiss me first.
