Pump leak

My friends 91 was leaking badly between the afc housing (I think that is what it is called) and the pump. So I pulled it apart and put a new gasket in and threw a 3200 spring in there while I was at it. Leak was fixed for about a day or so and then it returned. I have not been able to look at the truck but my buddy says its actually spraying out of there now. Is this common? The seal kit he got was from denso. The only thing I can think of is either somehow there is too much pressure or I messed up the gasket putting it on (very unlikely).

Any input would be appreciated,

Josh

The fuel return line banjo fitting on the back of the pump is an orifice. Mine clogged causing the pump to leak thru one of the seals. I cleaned it and the problem went away.

Most Bosch service dealers/ pump shops should be able to getr one for under $20.
