Pullin Vids
Heres a video from a local pull last night. Im the 4th hook and eric (cumminsdriver) is the 9th truck to hook. I managed to get 3rd and erics truck did real good as well, 2nd place was Chris Watts with the white lifted truck (6th hook), and 1st place went to David Dudgeon in the white flatbed.

Great pull. Good to see the drive shaft staying where it belongs
It looks like most everyone is building pretty good boost before letting go. What boost are you at before launch?

I only built about 10 pounds before i took off. Probably should have left at about 15. Turbo spools right up though. Ive got some pictures of a new driveshaft that i had built. Need to get them uploaded soon. Quite a bit stronger than the stocker.

I was pretty happy with how I did for stock injectors/turbo. Heck, I still have stock clutches in the tranny I am working on uploading a video that should be a little better quality. I will post it soon as it uploads, if I did it right

Are they going to make me official kydtr video taker? Josh you've been tearing the tracks up and doing a good job. you been in the top 3 in the last few pulls ive been too.

Yeah, you need to be Daniel I am not much of a video taper, but dad got some good video of this pull. It is being optimized now. I think I finally got it to work. Hopefully I can have it posted in a few minutes

Cool vid. A few questions i have to ask though.
1. How much does the sled weigh???
2. Can you use 4x4? If so, do you use high or low range?
3. How far, if at all, can an average 3/4-1ton gas truck pull the sled?
4. Does the cummins come out on top usually? How do the "other" brands do?
5. What kind of power do these pullin trucks make?
6. Are these trucks daily drivers, or just action trucks? Kinda like a trailor queen drag car.
7. What is the tranny of choice, manuel, or auto?
8. Why do the trucks slow down after they seem to get going good, does the weight shift or something

As they pull the sled the weight slides up to the front putting more and more of a load down. Usually all you see is 4x4 classes. Depending on the driver a stockish truck might not make it to 100 feet. These guys have some info in their sigs about their trucks. These were street trucks, but the pulling trucks with the stack through the hood are a sight to behold 
Some use built auto trannies while others use a stick with a dual disk clutch. Check both Eric and Teddy's pics for some carnage pics
And cummins trucks rule!

#2) Yes, 4x4 is always used in the diesel classes. There is sometimes a gas class or two that run 2 wheel drive trucks, but I have never seen a 2wd diesel class.
#3) The sled is set lighter(less weight) for the gas trucks, so they can take it about as far as the diesels, but if they were to pull the same weight as the diesels they would have a hard time.
#4)It is usually a chevy or a dodge that wins. Dodges are the most common winner around here, but the D-max's are pretty competitive too.
#5) Anywhere from stock, to 1500hp or more. Probably the most HP of a truck in this pull would be 600-650hp. Mine is probably around 350hp just for a reference.
#6)My truck is driven every single day. it is my only transportation. Some of them never get driven. Josh got 3rd, and while he doesent drive it every day, it is VERY streetable. I drove it for a week while mine was broke.

Thanks man. Not sure whats next for it. What i really need is to be able to turn about 5-600 more rpms down the track. Right now im only runnin around 3000 once its locked up in 2nd. If i could get it to pull up to around 3800 it would be sweet Just not quite sure what its gonna take to get me there. I ordered a 5kGsk from scheid just to see if it helps out any. Eventually i will upgrade to a larger charger, 13mm pump, and then i will need to upgrade my fuel supply system as well, and get dave to build a looser converter for me. Money money money moneeey!! Im pretty pleased with it right now though. So far this year ive had two 3rd places, one 2nd place, and one 1st place. Not too bad for an original 227,000 mile motor.
