Puck vs. QuadZilla

Puck vs. QuadZilla
OK,
Currently running BDDL stacked with the XZT. I was looking at upgrading to the adj. QZilla module (norm or race) but I bumped into a post about the puck and found it out there for around $160.
So the question is 90hp for $160 or go for the QZilla.
I have been more than happy with the XZT but for the price 90hp is almost hard to argue with. The only prob I see is boost fooling.
Is anyone running the puck with an in line boost fooler and if so does it work well and what kind of boost #are you seeing.
As a side note I thought someone mentioned QZilla would upgrade the XZT to the norm / race adjustable for a reduced price over new. Is this accurate?
Any input / exp?

That is not how I understand what he is doing. You can upgrade your XZT to the new downloadable XZT. I have requested and Quad is trying to find a way that if you are willing to upgrade to the new product can you add the the standard. You would pay for the upgrade and pay additionally for the standard and you may have to pay for a new harness. Quad is trying to see what he can offer.

I am looking at the puck also. I put a thread on here about it and nobody said if it was any good or not. their website describes the older puck for the 24 valves. I found one new for 165 shipped. I will probably get one at the end of the week. I talked to the dealer about it and he said he thought it did boost fooling. I know it raises rail pressure like the ez because it plugs into the rail.

It just so happens that I also have a boost fooler laying around that I could pair with the Puck.
I am curious if anyone is running the puck with the boost fooler inline and what kinda boost your building becouse running the XZT I usually hit around 43psi ish and without it I cant get past 36 or so.

It is going to cost more but, if you are stacking and want something that really works well I would wait for the XZillaraider 2 standard box.
It does boost fooling. Has a built in Rail gauge, built in boost gauge, built in coolant temp gauge, warm up mode and is USB updatable. See why it is a little more money?
Now, on top of that there are tons of tuning files you can download and try. We have all sorts of stacking files and non stacking files. We even have files to give you a lot of power levels for stacking so that the pressure goes up in like5hp increments so you get the perfect tuning.
In the long run you will be happier and not sitting around if something else will work. When you get the urge to change the tuning it takes about 15 seconds.

The Puck isn't bad. I had one for awhile and it seemed pretty good with the Edge Juice. It seemed to only work on the low end though. I then got the Quad Race with the stacker tune and it was smooth and powerful no matter what the RPM. So I would venture to say the new stuff Quad is coming out with will be awesome and worth the wait. If you do get a Puck though and decide to trade up you should be able to get back 125-150 for it on Ebay. I got 150 for mine

The Puck will give you the rail pressure you are looking for but I have to agree that it gives a decent boost off the line but the top end really is lacking. It's definitely worth it for the cheap price though.

All in all I would say go for it. You can get it cheap, plus pretty much get your money back selling it if you want to upgrade. Also it will give you a good idea of how your truck will perform when "stacked", and what fuel system components need an upgrade. The Puck is mild so there won't be any worries of going to hard to fast. Also it might totally agree with your truck .

I have the puck with the boost fooler and have had no issues, it works well, have hit boost up to 40, summit racing for 205.00, I have seen it at thourghbred diesel for 160.00, but they are not a authorized dealer, and have heard of people getting the wrong one from them.
