PSC steering brace help

My new PSC steering brace and new steering gear box just arrived. Should the new sector shaft nut thread on by hand onto the sector shaft ? I can thread it on 3/4 of a turn then its tight. Am I missing something ? Could use some help. I will call PSC Monday morning. I haven't started the work yet but I was checking fits today to make sure everything lines up.
Thanks

See Pro-NRA's post at the bottom of the second page. Sounds the same.

It's a steering box support. It might help with the frame flex some. I couldn't make it in my garage.

I had the same problem. Looks to me that the sector shaft is metric while the steering box is fraction. You know these Chinse stuff are crap. Yep call them and complain. There is another member having the same issue.

called them today. They said they have received several other complaints about the same fit issues. Told me they would ship me out a new one this week.

I received the new sector shaft today and this time it fit like a glove. However, when I greased the zerk fitting and attempted to remove the geese gun the zerk fitting snapped off. Again these Chinese stuff are junk. I'm hoping there is enough grease there to last a very long time.

You can buy zerk fittings at any fastener store like Fastnal (sp?) or Grainger

Are they all the same size/thread? I think there is a FASTENALL outlet nearby. I will have to use an EZ Out to get the pieces still on the bearing.

2nd sector shaft nut received today. No better than the 1st. Won't thread on. Also the bearing assembly is jacked. The bearing axis is not perpendicular to the flange mounting face.
It's off by 15-20 degrees. I'm ready to return this brace and
buy a Defiant.

No they have differant thread pitches and sizes. I want to say they have little kits that have an assortment of zerks that cost a few bucks.
