The only con I have found with the AirDog is the initial cost. Mine has been in operation for over 100,000 miles. I would buy another one without even having to think it over if I bought another truck.

I have a FASS 150/150. Which is the 150 model and pumps 150 gph. The pro's out weigh the cons by far, keeps your injection pump fueled so it doesnt burn up from lack of fuel is the number one pro. I havent changed fuel filters yet but they showed me how,(didnt have time for self install) and it is a pretty simple process.
Only con I can think of is the loudness of the hum of the pump. However, unless you have a very good muffler on your exhaust, you cant hear the hum over the engine anyway. So I wouldnt even consider that a con. I cant hear mine at all in the cab and even out of the truck the only place I can hear it is when im standing right next to the bed where its mounted. All in all I love my FASS!
Not much info but I hpoe it helps.

I've got a fass 95 HPLP and love it. Do not have to worry about the FP dropping and it works even when the temperature is -41.1 Celsius and no issues. It is a very quiet pump also (considering how loud the motor is).

I have the FASS 180 GPH pump on my 1996 Dodge CTD and it has been on there for over 50,000 miles now with no problems. Some say they are loud, but you can only hear mine before I start the truck. Dan @ FASS has been great on customer service.

I have also used the Holley Blue and Red Pumps on two of my other Dodge CTD Trucks and had real good luck with them also. They are cheap to buy (under $120.00) easy to install, and I had real good service out of them.

Stay away from the Holley's!
I was a firm believer in them until it failed. I was running the Holley Blue on the frame and still using the stock LP. When the Holley failed the stock LP couldn't pull through the Holley and left me stranded. I bypassed the holley to get home on the stock LP.
Then bought the Airdog 100 and couldn't be happier.

Scott:

Sorry to hear you had trouble with your Holley, but the ones I had did real well. Maybe I was just lucky. In fact, when I sold my 2002 Dodge CTD 24 valve truck, the Holley Red on it was almost three years old. FWIW,....the guy that bought the truck is still running it.

I dont know how John P had such good luck with Holley's but I sure didnt....finally cost me a vp44 after 3 failed holley's. Then I switched to a FASS HPFP and love it. Id recommend it anytime with full confidence and the new FASS pump's arent nearly as loud as the older models. Not talking trash at all but ive seen two Airdog 100's give trouble. One was just dead with power directly to it and the other had the vane/rotor in the pump start eating into the aluminum housing. I actually like the fittings better on the Airdog kits but ill stick to my ole reliable FASS.

Holleys are indeed "replacement" but hardly "performance".

In my eyes the only drawback is the cost and the fact you have to put labor in it to make it work. Once that is over, the rest is all benefits.

Funny. We put a black holley on my buddys truck 2-3 years ago and it's still running a solid 15 psi and can only pull it down to around 13. FWIW

Cool

Well no one else has said anything about the walbro's pros is it's cheaper and simple cons is I've been thru 3 in 50,000 miles I carry a spare anymore another pro is I've never seen less than 12 psi with comp on 5x5 and my sticks and the holleys I've been there tried that good for gas but they don't like fuel went thru 4 of them and psi was never that great. Myself have never dealed with a fass but if I could do it all over it would be my choice they have a good rep. in the dodge world and the air dog everone is liking them so when the walbro dies again think I might replumb my system

I'll give the Holley pump a good "performance" rating.

John_P was the one that told me about his use of the Holley. Man, that was a long time ago. I'm still using the same pump that I installed all those years ago and still using the same lift pump that was on the truck when I put the Holley on.

I know everyone won't agree but there's not an electric fuel pump on the market that hasn't left someone on the road side. Be it FASS, AIR DOG or WALBOR. They've all had failures.

If my Holley dies tomorrow I'll gingerly wrap in silken cloth and say a word of thanks! Amen!

How do you guys install the Holley's? I thought the Holley Blue Pump was internally regulated to 7PSI or so. How do you get the pressure up with them?

Joe
