Well, I have been working on this truck here and there since last fall, the guy hasn't been in a big hurry and is kinda a budget job. So here is a few pics of it.
New brakes, ball joints, front susp bushings, new brake lines, sandblasted/painted frame, Fixed rust on the rocker, Cut out roof rust/repaired, new interior, guages, 4" turbo back with Aero turbine Muffler, new tires, pump tuned, O.D kit, Cold air kit, kdp tabbed and I think thats it, all I can remember at the moment. Original paint.

awesome!!!!! the interior, where did you get everything redone? im very interested. im converting my interior to that color, i already got the duplicolor paint code from you. i got grey door panels, grey seat, seat belts and "visor thingies". my main question is where did you get the fabric to recover the seat, the door panels, and the carpet?
i know its a lot to ask but thanks for all info!

well, the door pannels were cleaned really good and painted with the trim paint. The carpet on the side is original. The flooring I bought from Summit. It is made by nifty. It fit real nice too. It is grey, I ordered charcoal first and didn't like it in there, and It was for a 4wd [duhhh] But I might put that in my personal truck. I took the seat to a guy locally that does that stuff, he used new seat foam and everything. So maybe check with ur local upholstry shop. The stock looking fabric was still available he said.

I just cleaned/degreased the motor really good and painted it with a high temp semi flat paint, I'm not sure how long it will last. Like I stated, it was kinda a budget job. Im sure it will bur off the manifold, but I think all the rest on the turbo and stuff will hold up good.

Wow,
That is almost what my truck looked like when I bought it back in 1999 except mine is a 1991.
My paint was taken down to the metal and repainted with Dark Metallic Quartz.
You did a great job.

This thread just made me so depressed. I already feel like my project was taking too much time and money. And here is this beautiful truck done "here and there" over the winter and on a budget! Nice job!

Me too! :(:(
Still, it's truck's like these that, when I'm not feeling sorry for myself, give me a standard to aim for. Maybe the standard needs to be lower...[laugh][laugh]

B-E-A-utiful. My next goal is a new grille and 4" exhaust. I've been thinking of fabbing up my own just like DNR did on this one.
DNR, if I remember right you said that a 2nd Gen 4" downpipe will work? Do I remember right? Does it require any modification or can it bolt right in and then I can make my run to the rear?

You would also need a 2nd gen elbow, Take a close look at the picture of the turbo. Unless you can get the elbow for a deal, it's going to be a pricey project.

The exhaust was all custom!! Me, a saw, some pipe and a welder. I only install kits on the newer trucks. There so cheap it doesn't even make sense to fab my own..
The 2nd gen Dp works real good for me, I buy them for like 65 bucks and usally pay 35-40 for a cast elbow, So it is like 100 total. So, I never sourced a 1st gen dp as far as price goes. but I though guys on here said they are like 150+. Although on the 2wd which is pictured on the other page, I had to use a slight bend to clear the cross member, The dp could have been about 2" longer in the center to get it a little lower. The nice thing about the place I get the stuf from, they guy will make me one and just make it a little longer.

When the 2nd gen guy's put on a Pac brake, The Pac takes the place of the elbow. So, I'm sure there are plenty of elbows sitting on shelves collecting dust.
