sig is in now. the truck falls flat on its face at half throttle when gitten on it. then gets up an goes. thanx

Sounds like a stuck fca or a bad lift pump. Perfect time for a set of guages! It will be necessary to help diagnose!

FCA=fuel control actuator..it's on the back of the CP3(injection pump)

Iv had the P0191 code three times on my 05.
First time, I took it to the dealer and they replaced the fuel pressure sensor.
THe last two times, they just reset the code.
They claim that DC is aware of the problem but dont have a fixit for it yet.
Im thinkin that they will get a fixit for the problem at the same time they figure out a way for the engine brake to work with an auto for
this year.

The Fuel Control Actuator (FCA) is located at the rear of the high-pressure, fuel injection pump.

The Fuel Control Actuator (FCA) is an electronically controlled solenoid valve. The ECM controls the amount of fuel that enters the high-pressure pumping chambers by opening and closing the FCA based on a demanded Fuel pressure. When the FCA is opened, the maximum amount of fuel is being supplied to the fuel injection pump. Any fuel that does not enter the injection pump is directed to the cascade overflow valve. The cascade overflow valve regulates how much excess fuel is used for lubrication of the pump and how much is returned to the fuel tank through the drain manifold.

An audible click from the FCA is normal when operating the key from the ON to the OFF position.
