Anybody else watching the debate right now? Kerry is making a fool of himself in my opinion. He is saying what George Bush says but in different terms. Best part so far was when Kerry said that it is hard to explain to families that their son was killed because he was one of the 10K out of 12K humvees was un armored Yet he is wanting to cut military spending Don't you need $$$ to do things like this

I'm not gonna get involved in a political battle cause frankly I don't know enough about politics to do it. But I do know enough that Kerry definately won't be receiving mine or anyone else's I know vote.

Well I didn't think I would change my opinion about Kerry due to the debate, but I was really surprised. I thought the guy was just an idiot, now I realize he is an idiot with visions of grandeur, and he has no grip what so ever on reality.

I must have seen the wrong info about his wounds he received in combat, I understood he was hit in the behind, yet he appears to have suffered severe brain trauma

I now feel very sorry for him.

I watched the first part and turned it off. I think Bush was off his normal footing at first. I watched a previous recorded program and then tuned in for the final comments.

However, I think they needed to have a flashing warning at the bottom when Kerry spoke: "Warning, may cause drowsiness."

Here's a man who has made the war unpopular, yet somehow he has the magic to turn it around. Uh-huh. I believe it. Just like when he voted not to fund the war. What a tard. "I am for the soldiers, just not funding them. I can't be a party to sticking up for America and offending some left leaning liberal in France."

Kerry won this debate...

I'm a registered independent, and have voted for both sides in the past.

Why I do like Bush much more, I just can't get past the whole Iraq war issue...by no means am I a "Bush-hater" or anything, but I just can't understand why we needed to go there.

Can someone else enlighten me?

Kerry is well spoken...........he doesn't really say anything, but he says it well.

If he expects to get votes from other then "Bush Haters", he needs to start outlining some of these promises he keeps making. So far I can't tell that he plans to do anything different then what GW is already doing, with the exception of getting in bed with the UN.

I don't like the war either, but I accept it. Gw was exactly right when he said that to bring freedom to Iraq will change the Middle East for the better. Iraq with Saddam was the perfect brewing place for radical Muslims. Maybe not this year and maybe not next year, but the need to stop him, and them was inevitable.

I am a life long Republican. I voted for Bush in the last election and I will vote for Bush in November, but I tuned out after an hour. I just couldn't stand to see Kerry handing Bush his hind end on a platter any longer. Bush was playing defense through the entire first hour. It was painful to watch. Anybody who votes based on the issues has already made up thier mind. The popularity contest voters are the ones that are swayed by these events and unless Kerry vomited on the podium in the last hour, I'd say he won this one.

Neither of them said anything new, and they both said the same tired things ad nauseum through the entire "show." None of it changed my mind. I vote the political philosophy I believe in, not the haircut I like best.

Ok, just to play devils advocate...using that logic, why don't we go invade Russia and remove Putin and have another war in Korea to remove Jong-il?

Wouldn't having wars in these countries "bring freedom and change for the better"?

You can communicate, to a certain degree, with the Russians and Koreans, and they are not trigger happy . There is no communications with radicals that fly planes in buildings.
