Pressure gauge install ?

I just finished my install. I hooked up on the bottom of the housing. After bleeding the system fired the truck up and am reading 12psi at idle & 6 at WOT. This doesn't sound right to me.... Am I right in saying that the filter could be dirty or is it the LP. I was going to pick up a filter yesterday but forgot, It's 45 minutes to town. Everything in the fuel sytem is stock. Thanks.

Sounds about right to me , i used the schrader valve at the IP with a new filter and it was about 12 psi . I got a big line kit coming and I'm going to relocate the LP at the tank this weekend , if it's not 100 degres outside

In the ball park. With your programmer, or any other mods, a big line kit will keep WOT pressure up there better.

If it's blocked at all, could be either item you mentioned!

After driving last night the pressure is going all over. Sometimes 11 at idle sometimes 5. WOT is going from 6 to 0. I think it's time for a LP

yeah when they start doing that their crappen out, be at like 13/14lbs at idle and suddenly drop to 5psi, rev it up in netrual and it comes back up. They have a mind of their own

OK now I'm really confused.... I went home last night after work and put in a new Wix filter, did the bleeding of the system, started the truck, gauge reads 12psi @ idle, only dropped to 8/9psi at wot, 2200rpms @ 9/10. Did this a couple (4 to 5) times, I'm feeling pretty good at this point. Decided to put her in the garage and get ready for work this morning. Well the gauge went to 6psi at idle, dropping to 4/5psi @ wot. Parked the truck for the night. Got in this morning to come to work gauge read 12 at idle, 8/9 at wot, and cruised all the way to work never dropped below 9. I'm still thinking the lift is going bad. But could air in the line going to the gauge do this?

Is it a mechanical gauge? I bled mine right at the gauge. edventually I ended up replacing the LP as I was seeing a drop to 6psi then instantly drop to zero, I replaced the pump and now it will move guickly between 12-5psi with even light throttle but even WOT towing my 5er it stays above 5psi. general crusing at 70 nets me 8-9psi. I swapped the pump before the filter was replaced (filter only had 12,000KMS) on it and I found the pressure was VERY slow to rise even when you bump the key it would take 10-15 seconds to reach 12psi. now it hits 12psi within a second or two. and if I started the truck the pressure would hang forever around 6psi and edventually it would come up after that it was OK. I cant believe that the filter was that restrictive with such low Kms on it if I recall it was a wix (cant remember for sure) but the new one is a Hastings. so now I watch the gauge on start ups and note how long it takes to reach full psi, hopefully it will help me to moniter filter condition

Yes it's a mechanical gauge. I did bleed the gauge right inside the truck, but that was before the filter change. I'm still leaning towards a new LP or just puting a pusher on. But if air in the sensing line is doing this then it will not matter. I drove the truck into work today and read 11psi @ idle and never going below 8/9psi crusing. I'm going to try and bleed it again just for my own piece of mind. I hate the LP set up in these trucks. I still have a hard time believing that a collage educated person would put a pump that hate vibration and heat on a Cummins block! They never cease to amaze me.

Are you saying to replace the OEM pump with the Holley? If so, anything special required to install one?
