Question Powerpuck and Superchips?

OK I have looked on here for a thread about this, but had no luck. I just bought a Powerpuck to stack with my SC. Does anyone know how this will work out? I figure since the SC in a programer and the PP is a modual, then it should be ok, right? Input would be great, thanks guys, and gals!

It may throw way too much tming at you. Stacked with a pressure only module, it would prolly work pretty well. Ive heard a few people are happy with the power the Superchips puts out, but stacking with the puck may not work too well since the puck isnt just pressure. Hope that helps.

Sorry but that is incorrect. The Puck is pressure only. It does not even boost fool.....
They should stack just fine...

Well, as far as I know it is a pressure only box. Buttttttttttttt, I just went to their site and someone asked the same question back in May and DS told him that it was a Timing and Duration only box!!!!! I don't think he knows his own products though........

I have the superchip stacked with the stryker 1 module(sp diesel) which I believe does pressure, timing etc, works ok but I did have to back the tonering off to stock. Superchip is a good one to play with on stacks because it isn't very aggresive on timing or duration and it doesn't add pressure.

IT is presssure only. And it will not let you go over 44psi or 110 because it will throw a map sensor voltage to high code and a overboost condition code. The puck did take me too 505 hp but rail was at 27000psi. I took it off the truck after my last sled pull it dfueled my truck because of to much boost(48psi). not for high performance

I'm sure he was referring to the Predator or possibly a Puck for a 2nd gen truck. I got the Predator/Puck combo and, from all I have read, they pulled the pressure out of the tunes and came up w/ the "Stacker tunes". Then you add the Puck and you can add the pressure as you like.
My truck runs better without the Puck so I just sold it........

Ok I got and installed my powerpuck today. Which, by the way, was the easiest install of anything I have ever bought. Everything fit perfectly, wires were the perfect length! Anyway, the powerpuck stacked with the superchips is awesome! The truck is scarry fast now! I only have one question. With the PP set to high, my fuel rail pressure only gets to about 16,000 psi and when its off it will get to 26,000.. Could that be due to the engine wanting so much fuel with it set on high?

B, with that much demand from both programmers, maybe your CP3 isnt able to keep up. Do a search on here for the DIY CP3 mod. This may help a little with out doing an expensive upgrade. How are your EGTs with the stack? There is also a chance for (stock) injector failure with more pressure and timing. Maybe do another search for an injector upgrade, I read about a guy you can send your stock ones to, and he hones them out. Only problem with that is you cant expect to throw tons of fuel w/out pushing more air (turbo time!!!???) anyway, i think you would get a lot more performance from your mods if you did a Torque Conv. and valve body in your trans. get all that power to the ground instead of possibly slipping the clutch packs or breaking your input/output shafts. Dont forget that if you want to run more power, eventually you must upgrade the tranny to handle it!!! DC only rates these trannys at stock engine output. Im sure now your running over 100 extra hp and 200 or more lbs or torque!!!! thats pretty impressive for a couple ECM reprograms, but imagine the power with some mechanical upgrades. would really help with the reliability and durabilty of your truck. Youve been bitten by the bug, now you just have to foot the bill for your habit!haha. At least youve got a few good buddies to help you do a tranny, turbo, injectors, dual CP3 set up, Head Studs, Water/Methanol, Nitrous, and a new intercooler. I know you wont be happy till your pushing 800hp out of that cummins, itll do it and I want to help!!

Well Mr. Scottie... Actually I am pushing more like an extra 260 HP and almost double that in tq. The clutches in my tranny are upgraded to the Red Eagle ones..I only go the PP cause it was soooo darn cheap. $150.00, for another 100Hp....why not!??!?!?! I think you are right about the CP3, it cant keep up with the fuel demand. Maybe I will get the injection pump off one of the tanks at work...35,000 psi of fuel would due nicely! Ok how about this.. You sell your million dollar house and pay for all my stuff??? Yeah??

you cant add the boxes together to get your new hp. ex...

smarty on #9=170 hp
power puck =100 hp

that wont equal 270 hp

So what would be a good way to "guesstimate" Bfluri's hp and tq with the stack?
