Power without a box

Ok so I've been thinking, who makes decent power without a fueling box, or tapped pump wire? My list of upgrades will have a box as pretty much last. For starters, looking at the MadECM, hx35 (dictating EGTs while towing), bigger infectors, and of course the required drivetrain upgrades. Also anyone do internal engine mods without a box also? nothing against boxes, just want to see what power we can get "supertuning" So I guess this question leaves out the 12V's

So if any one asks "what do you have done?" You can say nothing. No visible signs of mods. Total sleeperness. Other than the "common" air intake, exhaust mods.

With bigger injectors your gonna need some kind of boost fooler because your gonna need more boost to keep it cool. I don't know if the MAD ECM has a built in boost fooler or not. You might want to check up on that. Why are you saving the box for last? I love mine. Internal engine mods usually don't result in any additional power unless you are pushing the power pretty high already. I've got my comp mounted in my ash tray. Turn it on and fold the ash tray up and no ones the wiser.

Boxless power leaves you with 2 options, MAD ECM or a tuner
(like Superchips or the other one I can't remember the name of)

The tuners don't have a boost fooler, and you'll need one.

The MAD ECM doesn't need a boost fooler, as it doesn't care what the boost is,
so basically, it has the boost fooler built in.

Basically the box will be after the tranny, pretty much last. (yea sure ok) Also after the tranny I can save up for a VP on the side, mainly as a just incase the VP craps out on me, not saying it will, just want to make sure I can keep downtime to a minimum if it does fail. So bascially I'll be at a power limit until I add the box. What is would that be about? 300-350HP?? That is with a MAD. I like the ash tray trick, never saw a comp in person so cant judge the actual size. I like the sleeper look also, just in case any other cummins junkies look under the hood and try to find the tapped wire, but eventually I guess I'll get a box.

I know of a guy making some NICE power with no box, but dont know what he has done. Id say with some big injectors, and the mad you will have some pretty decent power.

Bob Wagner is making 400hp with a MAD ECM, Mach 4 injectors, and a Dodgezilla Hybrid...so it can be done without tapping the wire.

I'm sure if you ask Don M~, he would help you get more!!!
