Hey,

Anybody know where I can get replacement brushes for power window motors in a 95? Thanks for any replies.

I don't think you will be able to find them but take one to a electric motor rebuilder and you might get luckly.

I have made brushes fit from another old motor before, just drag it along some emery on a flat surface until it fits. ::) Well.....it worked! ;D

Thanks for the help. I'll take apart some old motors I have around and if I don't find anything suitable I'll bring the old brush to an electric motor place and see if they can match it.
My passenger side window was intermittent in its operation, so I checked all the wiring (relays and switches) and it was fine. I took the motor out of the door and took apart the motor, sure enough one of the brushes was broken. Haven't seen very many broken brushes, but it happens. If brushes were available, they would probably cost all of five dollars. Anyway, the Dodge dealer only sells a complete motor/regulator assembly and I'm sure you can guess what that cost. I fit the broken pieces back in such a way that the motor works for now, but it's not a good fix.
Again, thanks for the input.
