power steering pump trouble
I just bought a 1990 D250 It was making a very loud noise I removed the power steering/vacuum pump started it noise was gone. took the pump apart the pump shaft had alot of play, the gear had some marks from the gears not lineing up. I bought a new PS pump put it all together noise is still there but nowhere near as bad. Im thinking I need a new PS gear, does anyone know where I can find one? Is this a common problem with the non-intercooled vacuum pump?
