power steering pump
hey all i'm doing a cummins swap into an 87 chevy, heres my questioin, a friend of mine has a power steering pump off of a 4bt, he says its a chevy pump that is factory made to bolt onto a cummins, the 4bt came out of some sort of box truck....and is equipped with GM alternator,P/S pump, and transmission......so he wants to trade me the power steering pump that is on my engine out of my 92 dodge for his power steering pump off of his 4bt....he wants to run power brakes and im running hydroboost.....his pump seems like it would be ideal for me because it has a spot for an extra return line which i will need for my hydroboost brakes.....so tell me is this seem like a good deal to you all?....and can i just plug off the oil line going to the pump?.....will it work? thanks for all help....
