Power Seat motor (Servo) dead

One of my power seat motors has dies...If your looking from outside the drivers door its the 2nd one in form the left. For a while all it was doing was just a little movement each way, so i knew it was going out. Now its completely gone. Are these hard to replace? Whole seat come out? How much are one of these babys?

The whole seat is easy to remove. Easier would be to remove the seat cushion. That way you can check every thing out without laying in a cramped space looking at everything upside down.
Dodge only sells the whole seat assembly!!! If you got the money to spend go that way.
The motor that controls the rear part of the seat started acting like that a long time ago for me. I got it to the position I want it and unplugged it. I spent an afternoon at place that specializes in Dodge trucks. He had a lot of seats around there and all of those had that motor removed already or that motor did not work. To check the motor unplug the wires to the motor and reverse the 12 volt power to the leads if the motor will not respond the motor is the problem. That way you can determine where the problem is.
The switches can also be a problem. I am close to redoing my switches as they are starting to act up as well.
I did read on a forum that someone had taken a seat motor to a rewind shop and had it repaired there. I have not personally tried that.

You can swap leads to the motors to verify the switches are good. There are a total of three motors. The one that controls the vertical movement on the front part of the seat, the vertical movement on the rear part of the seat, and the one that controls the horizontal movement of the seat. My rear vertical motor is also inop.

I had the same issue with my '99. The motor would make one revolution then slowly stop, then would not work at all. I removed the the seat cushion, then removed both motors. Tested leads, switches, brushes, everything. Could not figure out what the issue was, finally I took out the multi meter and tested the input leads to the brushes on both sides. While one side has a 0ohm resistance, the other side was fluctuating up and down, PROBLEM FOUND. One side was not working correctly and was causing the motor to stop spinning because the brushes were not in sync, that's the reason it only made 1 revolution and then stopped. The side that stopped working was connection by 2 brass plates glued/soldered together, and were no longer making a solid connection. What i did was roughed up the top of the brass plates, and then soldered them together. Reassembled and WOW, it worked! Been over a year now and works great.

Dodge claims that these are "non-serviceable" parts, but with a little electrical knowledge this is an easy fix, should only take about 30minutes, and a set of torx bits to remove the motor from the seat frame.

When i noticed mine dying, it was the one switch. It would barely make enough movement up and down o just feel it trying...Then once it stopped, it stopped for good. Where would i start in removing the cushion? ( I didn't even think you could)

The bolts holding the seat cushion in place are fairly easy to get at. One on each corner of the seat.
