I PASS GAS

Last summer I repaced the evaporator coil on my a/c system. That, of course, involves removing the dash. After that, my power locks no longer work. Actually, the passenger switch will unlock both doors, but that's it. The passenger switch will not lock either one, and the driver's switch is useless. Both power windows work fine.

I know I had to disconnect several connections, but many of which I don't remember what they were for. I'm sure the only reason I would be having this problem is due to a connector I didn't plug incompletely or at all.

Does anyone know where the connectors are for the power locks under the dash? Any other ideas?

Well im not too familiar with an 01

But i do have a 96 with power locks. I just take the assembly apart every so often and with one of those electronic cleaner tip pens i clean out the connections. I take apart the assemblies and clean out what i can and use super fine sandpaper to get out all the grit and so forth. You might also wanna make sure the wires are as straight as can be, I cleaned out my stuff once and it didnt work when i put it back together, and out of accident i hit the door and the assembly popped out, so i played with it while it was crooked and it didnt work, i found out when i stretched out the wires that it would work..... Well as long as it does...

If its similar to a 1996, try and use this, if not, well i apoligize..

Are you pulling the plugs at the switches? I didn't touch the doors in the evaporator replacement, so that shouldn't be it. It would have to be something under the dash, because it quit immediately after that.

open the doors. See the rubber boot? There's a plug on the inside of the truck, right there.
