powdercoat wheels

do ya'll think if i powdercoated my dick cepek DC-1 polished wheels black that it would last at all?

i dont think it would, im not sure how chrome does with the heat required to powerdercoat but other then that i dont see it being a problem

they aren't chrome....just the polished ones....when i bought them they had been out for a few days and they only offered polish....

it'll last great. any powdercoater worth their salt will bead blast everything before coating, but it'll stick well to the polished surface as well actually

do u think they would be able to just powdercoat certain parts, like say i wanted certain parts black and certain parts to be left polished?...also any idea on how much it would be? juss a ballpark?

Just mask off what you don't want covered, then un-mask before it gets baked. The custom masking and stuff will probably jack up the price quite a bit though.

how much do yall think just doing hte whole wheel would be? they are 16's....just a ballpark?

I paid $75 a wheel I think....sorry it was couple of years ago.

From what the Powder Coater told me though is that you want to cover everything or else you run the risk of it chipping and the chipping could carry on. He recommended covering everything to avoid any future issues.
