I am getting a rattle under light throttle. It does not happen when I let off the throttle or at idle. When it rattles I can turn up the mp8 and the rattle gets louder and faster. The truck was set on stock today but it has rattled with the smarty.

I believe your hearing the detonation from the increased timing, not the injectors themselves.

Is it a kind of light ticking sound? Mine does this also at low throttle and low boost.

Mine did the same thing when I lost an injector. It would do it just as I let off the clutch starting to load the motor. I turned the quad box off and it wasnt as bad.

What smarty program are you running? When I am on TNT I get light rattle under light throttle. REVO timing 4 will do the same thing, but that is timing rattle. They do sound different, timing rattle sounds just like preignition in a gasser. Sounds like a unicorn is in the engine with a hammer beating on a piece of tin. (ever see Dane Cook's skit about mechanics?)

I believe you are experiencing injector (pressure) rattle. Anytime I crank up the MP-8 on any smarty setting I hear injector rattle. Thats why its a bad idea to run pressure all the time. Pressure over time will tear things up.

I can get that when lightly loaded. It always has even before the Smarty. Ive only ever ran mine for any length of time on SW1 with aftermarket injectors and stock TM so I should only have a slight timing advance.

I have the TNT. It rattled with it and I am on stock setting now and it still rattles. The mp8 is normally set at about 10%. Rattle just gets louder with the mp8 cranked up. Is this rattle a problem or normal? It does not rattle with no throttle or at idle and sometimes does not rattle after 30 minutes of driving(full temp after about ten minutes.

Im gonna say its normal. My truck when going up a hill even on the stock program I will turn the dial on the mp8 and the engine will get louder and kind of rev itself. You can definately feel some power gain along with the sound.

Any increase in pressure will cause a rattle.Some trucks are more noticable than others.My 05 has a slight rattle with no mp-8 and its louder with the mp-8 turned up.My friends 06 has a very noticable rattle with no pressure and it gets very loud with pressure added.I also noticed that the rattle on mine and my friends became more noticable with modded cp-3's.
