Porpane & Water/Methanol injection is it worth doing?
I was thinking of putting these two systems of my truck for towing purposes. Im in the Hot Shot field and Iam trying to squeeze the most MPG, lower egt's and power as possible. What brands do you all recommend for these two system and are they worth installing? Thank you for your time.

This is the same reason I wanted to use propane and water. I've used the water for a long time but I'm still trying to find a weekend to do the propane. The propane can come on from 1psi while the water can come on from 19psi or so.... When I do hook mine up I'm going to add propane up to 18psi then turn the water on at 20psi. No use injecting propane which adds heat if your adding water to cool it down. My water virtually only comes on know if I'm getting up to speed, going up a grade, or climbing a hill. It allows you to add alot more fuel and keep the heat down plus you get about 30-50hp more just from the cooler denser charge. I use about 20 to 30 gallons of water a month under moderate use but if you're towing long haul in hilly territory then you'd go through about 20% as much water as diesel. To me its free power, and some insurance to keep the combustion chamber cooler and cleaner. Lary sells the cooling mist system on this sites store....I like it over snows. ks

I would recommend a large capacity (say, about 10 gallons or more ) SS tank if you're going to tow with it as opposed to compete in drag racing or sled pulling.

If you are using water methonal for towing I would get it set up to kick on for egts not boost, that way you dont waste it. As for propane bully dog has a pretty good ket but everyone will tell you different it is personal prefference.

Yeah, That Perrier stuff is expensive...ya don't want to waste it
I have a 30gal, 316SS tank,....it used to be a still that the cops seized....I keep the pressure gauge on top just to make people ask questions.
Superchips/MSD is the only propane system I'd use but the other Hobb's switch systems do work but there is no accurate control and you can't turn it off if boost and EGT's get high. The MSD has some data logging functions also.
And Blue Rhino is da bombbb KS

With the alloy surcharge, there's no cost benefit to using aluminium - especially in light of it's inferior oxidation & galvanic corrosion characteristics in comparison to SS.
