Well I took the POD's out of my truck this week.
I liked the power, but I like fuel milage more. When the temp was cold mine got about 10 mpg. The best it would get was 14 mpg. I had turn the pump down, trying to clean up the smoke. It sure is weak now, but I am going to see what kind of milage it will get before i start turning it up.

Bummer. I think we're all feeling the pinch. I thought I was done throwing 100 dollar bills at my truck when I went for the first test drive with the new head...then I had to stop and put 100 bucks in the tank[laugh]

I feel the fuel prices hard since I drive 140 miles a day round trip plus a few trips a month to LA. I spend more in a month on fuel than alot of folks make. Its rediculous. Come this summer the Cummins may be stuck in the driveway. I am thinking about buying a POS car to commute. I dont mind being the only corperate oil field guy not driving a $100K car. lol Give me a Saturn any day.

Looks like that the price of fuel has gotten up to the price to where we could be using the oil in the groung here in the USA.

I got 64 rigs drilling now and we arent even the biggest of the dozen large companies in the gulf or continental US.

Does the USA have good oil wells that we could be using now? I thought we did.

Environmentalists don't like the idea of drilling in the USA I say we tell them they can leave then.
