please help me with my questions

new to this 12 valve forum as i have just sold my 03 and have been in the 3rd gen forums for some time

anyway i am looking at replacing my 03 with a 97 12 valve

i would like some answers to these questions

what is the hp and tq on the 97 12 valve

how much hp will the stock tranny take as far as more power

how do i turn up the power with the fuel plate

does it have a lift pump or injection pump

does the torque converter stall as high as the 3rd gen trucks on take off

does it have a block heater

thanks for the answers to these questions

how much hp will the stock tranny take as far as more power , double

how do i turn up the power with the fuel plate, slide it up, or replace it

does it have a lift pump or injection pump, i should know, but i dont. both i think.

what is the hp and tq on the 97 12 valve

depends on if you get an auto or a manual tranny, the manuals are 215hp from 96-98, the autos are a little less but not sure how much

how much hp will the stock tranny take as far as more power

auto or manual? The manual trans with a performance clutch will take about as much as you can throw at it. An auto will need some attention if you plan on doing some high hp mods to the truck

how do i turn up the power with the fuel plate

search on here about fuel plates and grind one

does it have a lift pump or injection pump

both

does the torque converter stall as high as the 3rd gen trucks on take off

not sure

does it have a block heater

should have one

Not much, depends how you drive it.

I have 162K on mine now and the TC is getting real loose.

turning up the fuel is all done by getting the wrenches out, nothing plug and play on the 12 valve engines.

auto trans stock hp is 189-190 i believe, standard trans are 215 hp rating stock.

should have a block heater standard.

it has got a mechanical lift pump, camshaft driven drivers side of the truck, about 2/3's back, it has got a plunger on top of it to prime the system.

Injection pump is a bosch p7100 with a rqvk governor. it is a inline pump, extremley durable pump and takes modifications quite nicely.

Our lift pumps are also capable of flowing plenty of fuel for reasonable mods (there are guys with well over double factory power still on stock lift pumps)

They also rarely fail.
