pics of the truck rebuilding progress
well so far on the truck i have rebuilt the rear end encluded new seals, bearings, stub shaft seal, brake lines front to rear, cleared the frame of all the rust, coated the frame in rust stopper, and put heavy duty paint on there roofing tar/paint thinner at that (salt hear kills the frame) i have also stripped of it's seats and carpeting and patches the floor as well as applied rust stopper paint and fiberglass, to the motor i just tuned it up whitch encluded new oil filter, fuel filter, tweaked pump, and fixed the "loss of power problem" whitch was just the shifter linkage from the injector pump that was never put back properly after my uncle did the head gasket(thats why i got the truck for free, he said it was gutless and come on a cummins gutless?! never, so i tuned it up and all the power is back just gotta do the valves next, then before the valves i need to replace the king pins and while im doing that ill replace the fron stub shaft seal, bearings and u joints in both axle and drive shaft axle. the truck also got a little tester paint job last night, i have pics of it's progress. also me and my metal work teacher remachined the spindle and balanced the axle again, turned out better then i expected.

What did you use and where did you get it??
Is this stuff "brush-on" or spray-can??

I am in the middle of this, on the son's truck.
Do you have pictures of the various steps of the floor-board repairs??
Did you completely cover the floor with a layer of fiberglass??
I was considering using Bondo w/cat-hairs to seal the various holes.
I am no body man; what is the difference between Bondo and fiberglass??

the rust stopper i used worked great it was brush on and made the surface rust turn black after hardening, it was called extend now im not sure who would sell it but i got it from either my local bearing shop or canadian tire, the body work i cut out the spots that were bad and made a piece to fit right in , but it turned out to be harder that way so i overlapped the metal a tille bit so i had somewhere solid to weld, when i welded i tacked it in all 4 corners then gradually made my way around it but doing 1 inch gaps after each tack so it wouldent warp, before you fiberglass the floor you should coat the rusted spots that werent so bad with the extend or whitch ever else you find for rust prevention, then when you fiberglass you put some of the hardening formula down on the metal then lay ur fiberglass mat down on top of it and then coat the whole mat with the firberglass hardener, thats about all it takes, ill enclude pictures of the floor patches soon.

oh and bondo it just to heavy and cracks , and just never lays out as nice as fiber glass just a pin in the edit with bondo inless it's small body stuff

yeah i have the king pins on order, they should be here next week, i also just got in the new grill and tail light, also i have the stacks almost installed, just test fitting, i have to cut down the drivers side a little more, but other then that i got the whole stack set up for free anyway so cant complain, i have some more pics of that i will post up. i gotta get those 97 ford aluminum rims for it sooner or later, it will look very sharp. thanks everyone.

What kind of job do you have?
Looking good! I am wanting to do the same to my truck, as rusty as it is. Need to take the body off the frame and put a rust preventer on it. But as said before, Looking good
