Picked up a brand new head, have a plan for it.
My dad picked up a brand new 12v cummins head, not an aftermarket one, up in NY state, he was at empire farms days the last few days.
Planning on a port match, mild port and polish, o-rings and heavier valve springs.
Should I think about anything else? I'm planning on setting this head up so I can swap it onto my 93 with as little down time as possible.
Thanks,
Mike

I forgot to say it's a new loaded head. New everything, valve springs, seals, etc... Would you do a valve job on a something like that? I'm definately going to check and make sure none are leaking and everything is ok with it.
Wish I could tell you, my dad picked it up at some tractor show in NY state when he was up there. Didn't pay enough for it, $275 with 100 feet of 1/2" chain with it.

Probably decked...but I would check it. Factory heads are notorious for not being level. There are fine for Stock but need leveling if adding much HP!

60lb valve springs, beehives springs if you can find them, ported or extrude honed, inconel exhaust valves, titanium locks and keepers, valves as big as possible.
