i've painted lower steering culumn cover, transfer case lever bezel, fuse cover, sill plates, one rear door and 2 piece lf and rh rear seat. its a very hard job, even w best product. buy all the cleaners, prep, adhesion promoters that manufacturer raccomend and apply these as described...don't do this and your paint peel off if you hurt or touch it.
for the cluster bezel i think you can do a good job yourself. its not a piece under continuos touch.
i ve used SEM color coat

SEM COLOR COAT or COLORBOND are two of many....you must follow the instruction for each brand. each paint needs specific prep and cleaner. I think you need a plastic cleaner, a plastic prep, color paint and a clear finish to protect it. i speak by my experience with SEM.
these are paint that change the color of the plastic permanently "theoric" I dont know about sanding on plastic..
take a look at SEM website, you find all the direction and you can choose your items...
I have had bad results on the door panels and the rear seat trim because I think they are less quality plastic than the dash trim. or maybe other material..

I painted my dash bezel red to match my exterior and a few other small things on my dash as well as door handles, and window roller upper things. I will have to take some pics and post them for yall to see. I used plastic paint from a hobby store because normal rattle cans wouldnt stick for me.

It's all in the prep work, that's probably why the rattle can didn't work. Stacey David just did a great show that included interior painting on speed channel, he couldn't believe how much prep work he had to do on the interior before all of the grease finally came off and was ready for paint.
Anything with paint isn't just going to be a pull it off and spray it deal if you want to do it right, there will be a reasonable amount of prep work leading up to actually spraying, and that is usually the frustrating part ... Last time I was in a parts store I think I remember seeing duplicolor has a paint kit specifically for painting plastic interior panels, comes with all the prep materials and the paint itself, should work fine.
