paint problems

wondering if anyone else is experiencing any paint peeling. I have a 2004 dodge 2500 HO, I have a couple of normal paint chips around the vehicle, but along the the bottom half on both side of the truck the paint is peeling right down to bare metal, on the passenger side I have a peeled spot about the size of a softball. the driver side about the size of a half dollar but if you touch it just flakes off.

That sucks. Peeling paint looks like crap! Are you out of warrenty? Your truck biult in U.S. or Mexico? I have heard that the ones from Mexico have better paint because of the less stringent environmental issues.

My Father In-law had a similiar problem on the front of his 2004 3500 dualie. It was on the plastic front bumber facial thats sit right under the headlights. He took it to the dealer and they fix it for him.

I think if you were under 50,000 miles then it should be covered under warranty for body panels and paint peeling. Especially since it is not a road hazard failure, is it? I would check your warranty book since I do not trust a dealer.

I believe all 03/04/05s are built in Satillo Mex.
What color is it, the Patriot blue trucks had a lot of problems.
But, I'm surprised that your 04 is having these problems after
several years. They were usually the new trucks that had problems.
Good luck fixing.
