pac brake question

I have an oppertunity to buy a used Pac brake system for $550.00. I'm wondering if thats a good deal for a used one . It came off of a friends 05 that he traded in and it has all the stuff with it. How long do these things last ? Thx

For $550 do you get the complete wiring harness to include the two ECM plugs, the (in cab switch, mounting bracket, and wires), a clutch switch, the air compressor with correct mounting bracket, air tank, all the crush fittings, the air hoses and air intake filter?

I recently put a new one in my truck and it was no joke. Pac sells the kit to fit 100%. Every component minus the air intake was of the best quality you could imagine. All wires and hoses were cut to exactly the exact length. Quality was second to none. Bought it from Larry AND just cashed my $100 rebate check.

Hope this helps, oh and by the way it works like a charm!!

Does the pac brake wear out over time? What breaks on these things?

I occasionally have air leak issues and one particular line sometimes pops off and then I don't have air to engage the EB.

If as stated before is a complete no parts needed and works then yes 550 is a good deal. As far what breaks I wouldn't know.
