P7100 ID number
Ok I have a P7100 I'm thinking of swaping in place of a VP44. I'm trying to ID the pump it is painted brown which makes me think it is an industrial pump. If it is an industrail pump is there any problem with using it on a Dodge? I plan on installing a GSK and moding the fuel plate. Thanks.

The last industrial p7100 i saw had a different and smaller design of deliery valves and holders, the pump shop said they wouldnt be able to get much more than 450 ccs out of it unless the holders were swapped. If you have the delivery valve socket you can check real easily

It seems to use the same size delivery valves. My adapter for setting timing screws into it anyways. How can I tell what type of govenor it has? I understand there are 2 types a constant rpm and a constant torque. Thanks.

That pump is from a 190 HP @ 2500 and 475 peak torque @ 1600 the timing is at 11.5 degrees high idle no load 2825 to 2925 the cpls are 1914 and 1551

Short answer, yes you can put it on your 24 valve!
a GSK will do good in there!
a friend of mine put on on a 98 truck! it had about stock power, he couldnt get it to smoke, swapping DV's might help, dont know. (but also i have no idea what pump his' was... twas an industrail one also i think!

The deliver valves have 052 131 stamped on the top. I'm assuming that means they are the same as the 131 DV used in the Dodge.
To time it I would look up the specs for 1551 and use those measurments to set the timing to what I want.
I'm sure I'll have more questions when I actually start bolting things together. I don't know why I thought this would be a very easy project. The farther I get into it the more I think I would have been better off just replacing the VP44.
