p1751 p1753
I have these two codes (p1751 and 1753) showing up and no power at all. I changed the ttva and the governor pressure switch, and still have the same problems. Has anyone had these problems and what do I need to do next?

checked the codes you listed, they don't exist. go to links at top of forum, open tech forum and see list. you may clear the codes by disconnecting the batteries, leave disconnected for approximately 30 min. with battery disc. hold switch in the on /start pos. for 5 min. see if codes disappear.
good luck.
PS post your location,as someone in your area may be able to help

What do you mean they "don't exist"? I have seen other post's on here from people with the same problem, they just don't say what fix was. I have talked to several transmission mech's and dealers that have told me what the codes are, I changed everything that I was told to change and still get the same codes. I was just trying to find out if someone else had the same problems, and what they did to get the codes to reset, and get the power back. The codes DO EXIST!!

duckslayer, I'm not sure exactly what all this meens but I will try to help you out here. This is what I found for you elswhere and what the the solution was.
Quote:The part is a throttle valve and actuator. I just replaced mine and had your same problem.mine was P1753, P1751 and P1757. the part was $180.00 from a dodge dealer, dealer part only.
its on the drivers side of trans up on the side pretty easy to get at. take 2 bolts out, unhook the wiring, and swap it. I had to take my truck down and get the computer erased. tried many different readers and none would delete any of the codes.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks michiganracer2, I changed the throttle valve actuator valve, and the governor pressure switch, but I will take it to the dealer and try to get the codes reset, I have tried 3 different scanners and none I have used will reset them either.

Now these trucks are getting some miles on them these Actuators are starting to fail.

Common DTC Codes:
P1751 Throttle Valve Maximum Range

The good news this is a simple install and only takes about 10 minutes .
The computer (ecm) will auto zero this after the install , and correct the problems occuring .
The unit is sealed and none of the interior is serviced seperately .
The first Illustration below shows how the unit is mounted.
1) is the TTVA Unit itself

In all fairness, he did wait four days for a bump and telling him the codes did not exist was not exactly the right thing to do, either.
I'll side with duckslayer on this one and suggest that people who have time to whine about other's requests for help have time to help.
Dang soap opera with a bunch of catty women around here sometimes, sheeeesh....
