p1689, Hot hard start and MORE
Well i just got this 2001 dodge 2500. lift pump and injection pump were done 3 weeks ago with the cam senser. truck has hard start when its warm, but not when its cold. i threw a p1689 today what is *no communication from ECM and injection pump. the pump isnt getting the 30seconds of prime? its in the shop but there kinda running out of ideas. also what would the fix for the hot hard start be. truck it turning over fast its not the batterys or the starter. thanks

Guess would look carefully at connectors and wiring between ECM, PCM and VP44. Dealer has a tool that will run VP44 with no associated electronics. This might give ideal if wiring, PCM, ECM, or VP44 if still have issue. The tool only gives very liited engine operations by the way. Did you take your chip off? Have you checked Lift pump operation????? They do Weird things.
