overhead gauge mount pics?

Hi all,
I'm seriously thinking of going with teh overhead/windshield gauge mount. Has anybody done it this way yet and did you have to lengthen the wires etc? How does it look from the outside the front window looking in? Anybody have pics?
Thanks again in advance
Brett

Shawn, those look really nice! My dash cubby gauge mount was home made. Pics in my gallery. Of course I don't have any now. My VDO gauges were in my '03.
I haven't seen any overhead gauge mounts. Is there a vendor's website with them?

Thanks guys, Your in the dash installs look pretty cool. I'm looking for pics of the windshield pod from angles that are different than what is shown on the various websites. I'd like to see what they look like from outside the truck as well as opinions on how they were to install. I know one site states that some material needs to be removed to fit it under the lip of the headliner etc..
Thanks again,
Brett

Nobody has done this and taken pics from looking through the front of the windshield? I'm also curious if 4 guages are installed...( Fuel pressure/Pyro/Tranny and boost.) will all the wires fit cleanly along the headliner trim?
Thanks,
Brett

I was looking for the same thing. Can this pod be mounted even if you have the fancy overhead with the temp and compass??

No body has installed one yet, I was thinking triple up top (fuel, boost and tranny) then get a SRT-10 single pillar with grab handle for the EGT. Best of all worlds in my opinion.

My windshield pod is on order right now from DPPI. Should have shipped yesterday. Hopefully I'll have a chance to install this weekend. If so, I'll make it a point to take at least one pic from the outside looking in.

Thanks Sailpipes,, I'm ready to pull the trigger on the order but would really like to see what it looks like before I do. I'm suspecting that ity will look great. There is the perforated covering over the window right in that area on my truck so I think it would look just fine.

BNC04,

Yes the wires will fit fine, you'll have to "train" them a time or two to get them where you want them but will work fine.

Thanks again mark,, I just got off the fone with DPPI and placed my order for the 4 hole windshield mount and 4 gauges. Your input on this site has been invaluable and greatly appreciated by rookies like myself. When I get ready to order the Van Aaken box, you'll get my business for that as well.

BNC04,

Super and thanks for the opportunity to work with you. If you have a digital camera try to get the members some pics, we don't have a common rail around here to get the pics with, only a 24 valve.
