I was wandering what all i have to do to put in the little digital overhead console thing in place of the cubby hole? I have the digital console. Where is the sensor for the compass and temp located on the truck. I have the donor truck also i just need to know where to find the sensor.

? The compass is in the computer piece itself (little round clear thingy). Not sure on the thermometer.

The compass is built into the console electronics. The temperature sensor on your '96 should be next to the driver side radiator core support. On newer models it's on the hood by the latch. It's black about 1/4 inch dia x 1.5 long with a 2 wire connector. Any Chrysler sensor should work.

Don't forget all the wiring...tried adding it to mine but I couldn't find the wiring
