what options do 06 and 07 trucks NOT have?
I only found one 06 with Steering Wheel audio controls (was ~$50k with Navigation)
even other Laramie's did not have it.
my 04 SLT had these, and my 06 SLT does not:
power seat
power pedals.
auto mirror.
my wife is 5'0 and we had bought the truck before we drove it (we have driven TONS of them) and I guess i got confused on which of the 5 trucks we were gonna buy, (she drove it off the lot) and she was MAD when she realized it did NOT have power seats.
06 also missing:
lighted vanity mirrors.
other options other manufactures offer:
Delayed Accessory Power Shut-Off
perimeter lighting (i am working on this, in another thread - just need time)
other things that are worse:
that stupid cupholder.
things better:
headlights.
even other Laramie's did not have it.

Would be nice if they had memory seats. I mean, what the #@#$.............every other vehicle known to man in that price range has them.........the power seats are there............HOW HARD CAN IT BE?
I like the idea of the turn signals on the mirrors too. Evidently Dodge doesn't.
OEM brake controller would seem to be a practical option...........well, maybe not.........I mean nobody really TOWS anything with these trucks anyhow, do they?
Oh, btw, our Laramie has steering wheel controls too. (Infinity/no Nav)

I read somewhere that the 06's with factory NAV should all have the controls on the steering wheel, part of the package. I guess some did not and this was being installed by the dealers. Mine does not have them and I do have the factory installed NAV.
I agree about the memory seats, turn indicators on mirrors, there seem to be a lot more options with other manufacturers right down to manual 4wd shift levers vrs shift-on-the-fly electronics.
DC seems to 'package' certain things in groups, if you want to go out of the package you have to choose another group. To be able to cross the packaging lines must be taboo. I don't get it, bottom line is that it is your $$$'s being spent. Oh well, not Burger King when it comes to ordering.

where are the cupholders in the back of the mega with 3 kids back there?
only ones we see are in the center armrest, which is uncomfortable for the kid in the kid in the middle to sit under, if it is folded down...
I can't believe you buy a FAMILY truck that doesn't have cupholders for the kids.

My 04 had steering wheel controls. I don't think they are that nice of feature. My 06 dosn't have em and I don't miss them at all. The 2 opptions that I wish my 06 had are power pedals and power sliding rear window. Other than that, I'm good to go. The one thing that I have learned over the years with bying a truck every year sinse 1977 is you never get any money on trade in for all the extra opptions. So when I order now I kind of keep it to minimum.

Regarding the mirrors, I think the Ram has some of the better truck mirrors on the market, much better than the Chev. But, the way they flip out (on the tow model mirrors) it would not work to have the turn lights. It looks like Ford and Chev and going toward pull out mirrors on their models, and I would think Dodge would need to do the same. Then make them electric. Oh well.

There was an old Mercedes at my mother's house last time I was there.......think it was a 1993.......anyhow it had power seats (bottom and back moved independently) power side AND rearview mirrors, power pedals, and power tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The "memory" function controlled ALL of those things................pretty cool......especially for a 13 year old car. That car amazed me so much I sat there for about 2 hours playing with everything and even read the owners manual. Kinda sad that the average American auto still doesn't have the level of technology that a 13 year old Mercedes does!
Funny thing is, though, that it didn't have squat for cupholders!!!!!! Maybe Dodge IS copying them after all!!!!!!

Our mirrors are definitely more attractive than the GM's..........I don't know what the f&*# they were thinking when theirs were on there crooked...........I mean SURELY somebody noticed????? I guess it's nice to know that GM meets their handicap quota..........just seems like they wouldn't fill those spots in the engineering/development dept.!!
